Remember, we now have two winners per challenge plus a top 5.

I made my first ever circle easel card for this challenge.  I think I did it right, but who knows.  It turned out ok so that's all that matters, right?

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see some of your projects over at QKR Stampede this week.  Have a great weekend and God bless.

From the Heart February Challenge

This is going to be a very short post.  I have been working my butt off today.  I made 15 cards in the last two days.  My fingers are tired.  I have been working to make sure my DT obligations are fulfilled before I leave for VA tomorrow.  I will blog all my cards when I get back, unless I get a chance to do some tomorrow.  Most of them are for next week and some for the week after, but I'm not sure when I will be back.

I will miss doing my challenges for the next couple of weeks, but I need to go visit with my Granny.  I will always have challenges but I won't always have her.  I'm sure y'all understand.

This card is for the From the Heart Progressive Monthly Freebie Challenge.  I love the Birdbrains. :)

I hope y'all have a great weekend and I will see y'all when I get back!!  God bless each and every one of you.

Sad News

Hello my faithful followers.  I have some sad news that I want to share with y'all.  My Granny, who raised me, is living out her last days.  She is in comfort care now and pretty much just existing. She can't eat, can't really move around, has an infection that the doctors cannot find, three bed sores and gangrene has set in on her remaining foot.  I am leaving for Virginia on Saturday to go see her.  I was able to speak with her on the phone this morning and let her know that I am coming and that I love her.  I'm not sure how much posting I will get done.  I am trying to catch up and get ahead on my design team cards so that I will not have to worry about them for a few weeks.

I will be back as soon as possible here on my blog. Take care of yourselves and God bless y'all.

Just a Note

Hello friends.  I just wanted to post a little blurb to let y'all know that Kierstynne's card was spotlighted on Delicious Doodles last Friday.  She was so excited.  She's looking forward to creating more cards and entering more challenges.

If any of you know of a challenge blog that will allow junior design team members, please let me know. She's driving me nuts to be part of a design team like her mommy.

Hello folks.  I have another card for y'all tonight. This one uses an image from Art by Miran.  You can find her art by clicking the link or by checking out her FB page here.

I made a center step card for this one.  If you would like to have this image, I think it's still available for free if you go to Miran's FB page and request it.  I made the flowers to coordinate with the papers.

Thanks, guys, for always stopping in and leaving me some love.  I really appreciate the time y'all take out of your busy days to come see what I have been up to.  Have a great day and God bless.

New Paper A La Mode Challenge

Happy Saturday, friends.  Today is a busy day for me.  I've got tons of errands to run and my daughter is cashing in one of her Christmas coupons for lunch.  I made her a coupon book and gave it to her for Christmas.  There are coupons for lunches together, playdates at the park, game nights, snuggling and a movie.  Just different things so that she can pick when we spend time together.  We are together all day every day, but I figured this way, she would feel special being able to cash in her coupon and have Mommy's attention all to herself.

Our new challenge over at Paper A La Mode (must become a member of The Outlawz to participate) is "Flowers".  Our sponsor this week is Scrapbook Stamp Society and the prize is 2 images from Sherry's store.

The Design Team used Sherry's images and this is what I came up with:
This little cutie is called Sweet Marylou Bestie.  I have really gotten into making my own flowers.  I don't know how to make anything but roses, but I can make them in the colors, patterns or sizes I need them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope to see some of y'all's entries over at Paper A La  Mode this week.  Have a great weekend and God bless.

Sally Sunshine is at Digital Stamps 4 Joy

Guess what?  It's snowing again.  We woke up to the biggest snowflakes coming down I think I have ever seen.  We have about 18-20 inches on the ground already and who knows how much this storm is going to bring.   But, the good thing about today?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.  I love that dang camel.

So, on to the real reason you guys are here.  Today starts the newest challenge at Digital Stamps 4 Joy. Challenge #86 is to use DIES or PUNCHES.  Our challenge this week comes to us from Charlene. Thanks Charlene, this is a great one!

I used Sally Sunshine to make my card.  Isn't she pretty?  She is designed by JenLee.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge

Happy Wednesday.  I hope all is well with everyone. Is it still snowing where you live?  I don't think we will ever see spring here in NEPA.

Today, being Wednesday, means a new challenge over at The Crafter's Cafe.  Our new theme is "Vintage/Shabby Chic.   This week, it's Team B's chance to show off some of their projects.  We have an amazing sponsor this week... Rick St. Dennis.  If y'all haven't worked with any of his images, boy are y'all missing out.  I LOVE his images.

I used "I've Got a Right to Sing the Blues" digi to make my project.

I decided not to make a card this week.  This is a 5x7 canvas.  I am going to give it to my MIL for her birthday later this month.  I just have to get a hanger for it.

When I do Rick's images, if they have a lot of detail in them, which most of them do, I print out the image in a 8x10 size.  I then color it, scan it into the computer and print it out at the size I need.  I add my glitter after I print it out in the correct size.  I'm left with the original large colored images, but I can save them in a folder in my desk and if I want to use that image again, I just rescan it into the computer.  I can also frame them and hang them in my craft room.  You can do this with any image that has a lot of detail and you want to make sure you get all the little details that are hard to see.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'm sure I will have more for y'all later today.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and God bless.

Wishing You a Cozy Christmas

Hi there.  Thanks for stopping by to visit.  My hubby has to work til 3 am tonight, so I thought I would make another card.  I also have to stay up to take out the baby one more time.  I can't believe how big he is and he's not quite 3 months old yet.  He's a cutie though....
Ain't he cute?  You should see him when he's looking up at you.  He's got this square, Rottie face and the most beautiful deep brown eyes.  I just love him to pieces.

Ok, I know y'all didn't stop in to see the puppy, so here's the card I have for y'all.

I used a DS4J image to make this card.  If you are part of the Progressive Christmas Challenge, this is the image for February.  If you aren't part of the Challenge, you still have time.  You can request this image and then make a card or project with it. Then, as long as you enter a project into the inlinkz, you will receive March's image for free.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope y'all have a great night and God bless.

Mondays with Digi Darla

Hello again.  Thanks so much for stopping by today. We begin a new challenge at Digi Darla

After a lot of thought, we've decided to make some changes at Digi Darla's. Effective Monday, March 3, the challenge will go from weekly to bi-weekly. This will allow more crafty time for you! We will also be making some other small changes as well:
  1. ONE entry per challenge please
  2. ALL images welcome, Digi Darla image gets you 2 entries
  3. Only 5 images will be given away to ONE winner (no longer 2)
We hope that you will understand and still continue to join us. We think this is a good change, as a lot of challenges run bi-weekly or even monthly and it allows more time to get a project in and less stress to get it there!

I think this new change is going to be a great thing. I am looking forward to it.  It's going to hopefully pull in more entries as well as make it a bit easier on the DT.  I hope y'all will still join us for our challenges.

Our challenge this week is "Sympathy" with a photo inspiration.

These are some beautiful flowers.  I know that these types of cards are sometimes hard to create, but, unfortunately we all need them at one time or another.  Personally, I hate sympathy cards.  I would much rather receive a "Thinking of You", "Your in my Prayers" or something like that.  I think it just brings much sadness to a person to receive a sympathy card.

Here's what I created:
This little notecard is smaller than an A2 size card and as you can see, nowhere will you find the word "sympathy".

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope y'all have a great day.  God bless.

Melonheadz Friends Monday

Happy Monday.  Today is a holiday for some of you and I hope y'all enjoy a short work week. :)

Today starts a new challenge over at Melonheadz Friends.  I just adore Nikki's images.  They are so cute and fun to work with.  This two week challenge is :For the Boys.  I decided to work with the Little Boys set.

I used some papers from the Boyhood stack by DCWV and I think they work very well with this image.  I printed out the sentiment from my computer using the old children's rhyme about little boys.  Isn't that  a cute little snail and puppy?

Thank so much for stopping by today.  I hope to see some of y'all at Melonheadz this week. :)  God bless.

Kierstynne's First Challenge Entry

Hello, friends.  It's Saturday, it's snowing again, and my 9 year old is entering her first challenge.  She is so excited. She knows I enter lots of challenges and am on lots of design teams and she's been begging me to let her enter a challenge.  She asked me the other day why they didn't have kids on design teams.  She wants to be on one.  I told her she would have to wait a few years then she could enter.

I found a challenge blog that accepts children's entries, so she made this beautiful card to enter.

Yes, my 9 year old colored this beautiful image from Delicious Doodles called Marina.  She used my colored pencils and even blended the colors with OMS.  She added lots of embossing, even used my Marvy heat tool.  She also used chalks to make the ocean background.  I helped her come up with the sketch and showed her the different papers that would work with this card, then she used my trimmer to cut the papers and used the ATG Gun to adhere all the pieces.  I did help her tie the knot because she just couldn't get the hang of it.  That's all the help I gave her.  She did it all by herself.  I think I'm a little jealous.  Her's looks as good as what I create.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and please leave Kierstynne some love in the comments below. She's not so sure it's good enough for a challenge, but I think she did a fantastic job.  Have a wonderful day and God bless y'all.

Paper A La Mode's new Saturday Challenge

Happy Saturday folks.  I guess we aren't ever going to see Spring.  We just got a 24 hour snow storm that dropped about 8-10 inches of snow yesterday. Tomorrow we are in line for 2-4 more.  I wanna move to somewhere warm.  The snow isn't really all that bad.  It's what happens to that snow after it starts to warm up.  Mud, mud, lots of mud and flooding.  My yard is going to look like a pond.

So now that I have finished complaining...again...about the snow, how about I show y'all what I created for PAM's new challenge?

I used this cute little mouse and teacup to make a Thank You card.  I can't wait to get my new order of Neenah card stock.  I ran out and have been printing my images on my ole trust GP card stock. Yeah, I'm a bit spoiled.  After using the Neenah card stock, I don't know how I ever used the GP.  It works fine for card bases, sentiments and layers, but definitely not for coloring and blending.  Come on Neenah..I'm waiting.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  We are going to the Ice Festival in the next little town over. It's a wonderful thing.  There are tons and tons of ice sculptures all around the town.  This year's theme is "Rock and Roll".  I can't wait to see the sculptures.  I am going to take lots and lots of pics, so I will upload some of them here.  After that, I'm going to Walmart for a new dog collar, leash, bowl and nappy.  Guess why?  Yep, that's right.  I'm getting a new puppy.  I can't wait.  His name is going to be Zorro and he's a three months old Black Lab/Rottie/Russet Retriever mix and he's so sweet and good with kids.  He has a little white thumbprint mark on his chest.  He's gonna be a big one too.  He is Kierstynne's Valentine's Day present..just a day late.
